FAQ

General

What is NNA InterConnect?

InterConnect is an audio routing plugin that lets you send audio between different tracks in your DAW, or even between different DAWs. Insert the Send and Return plugins anywhere in your effect chain to tap or receive audio at any point in your signal flow.

Which DAWs are supported?

All DAWs supporting VST3, AU or CLAP on macOS: Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig, FL Studio, and more.

What latency does it add?

1 buffer (samples depending on your DAW's buffer size). In Feedback mode, an additional buffer is added. The plugin automatically reports latency to the DAW for compensation (PDC).

Installation

How do I install the plugin?

Run the installer and follow the instructions. Plugins are automatically installed in standard folders.

Where are the plugin files located?

macOS:

VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

CLAP: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP/

Windows:

VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

CLAP: C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP\

The plugin doesn't show in my DAW, what should I do?

Rescan your plugins in your DAW preferences. Make sure you're using a 64-bit DAW on macOS 10.13 or later.

Usage

How do I route audio between two tracks?
  1. Insert "NNA IC Send" on the source track
  2. Insert "NNA IC Return" on the destination track
  3. Select the same bus number on both plugins
  4. Audio is routed instantly
How many Returns can I use?

16 independent Returns, each identified by a unique color. Each Return can receive up to 8 Sends.

What is Feedback mode (FB)?

FB mode allows you to create feedback loops on the same track (Send and Return on the same channel). It adds a buffer delay to prevent infinite loops and limits gain to 0 dB maximum.

Can I send multiple sources to the same Return?

Yes, up to 8 Sends can route to the same Return. Signals are automatically mixed and the Return displays a list of connected sources.

Can I use InterConnect between multiple DAWs?

Yes! You can route audio from Ableton to Logic for example, as long as both DAWs are running on the same machine.

License

How do I activate my license?

Click on "Licensed" or "Trial" at the bottom of the plugin, enter your email and license key, then click "Activate".

How many machines can I use?

One license allows you to use the plugin on 2 machines (e.g., studio + laptop).

What happens after the trial period?

After 14 days, the plugin continues to work but audio is muted. Purchase a license to reactivate.

Can I transfer my license to another machine?

Yes, you can manage your activations directly from your customer panel. Deactivate a machine to free up a slot, then activate on your new device.

Technical

Does the plugin use a lot of CPU?

No, CPU impact is negligible.

Is there latency compensation?

Yes, the plugin automatically reports its latency to the DAW (PDC - Plugin Delay Compensation).
